Michael has served as a legal advisor for the New Orleans Times Picayune and has actively tried cases in Louisiana and Florida.
Michael was also appointed as a member of the Kenner transition team by Mayor-elect Michael Yenn.
Michael S. Brandner Jr.’s Family & Personal Life
Michael S. Brandner Jr. is married to Katie Brandner and has three children, two dogs, and a cat. Outside of work and family Michael gives back to the community by helping various regional and national non-profit organizations such as the Coastal Conservation Association, Leadership Jefferson, the Legacy Foundation, Delta Festival Ballet, and Children’s Hospital of New Orleans. Michael participates in flag-football and softball leagues through OTMAC. Michael also participates in Mardi Gras by riding in the infamous Endymion parade, Knights of Babylon, and the Krewe of Hermes. Michael’s hobbies include fishing, offshore and inshore, and hunting big game and ducks.
Michael Brandner’s Legal Career
Super Lawyer Michael began his legal career working for a law firm representing insurance companies on claims involving trucking accidents and maritime injuries. After learning their dirty secrets and in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Michael decided to take on the insurance companies and fight for those less powerful than the insurance mammoths. Now, more than five years after forming Mike Brandner Injury Attorneys, Michael represents injured people throughout the nation.
Michael’s goals include providing a rewarding service for his clients, to provide the clients with a legal experience without the stress and worry that many litigants face, and to build a friendship with the client that will last beyond the resolution of the case.
Michael Brandner’s Education
Michael graduated from the prestigious Trial Lawyer College, the “Top Gun” equivalent for trial lawyers in Dubois, Wyoming where he learned trial techniques from Gerry Spence and the best of the best trial lawyers in the nation.
Michael Brandner also graduated from the National Institute of Trial Attorneys’ trial tactics class, Loyola University Institute of Politics, Boston University School of Law with a master in tax law, Loyola University School of Law, Louisiana State University, and Jesuit High School.
