New Orleans, LA (July 16, 2018) – What started as an innocent tour of the beautiful French Quarter, quickly turned to tragedy for 10 people on Friday. At around 3 p.m., on the corner of Royal St. and St. Philip St., a buggy carrying a group of sight-seers flipped over, leaving one woman with moderate injuries. Her leg caught underneath the buggy as it flipped.

Buggy Accident

The tour was heading through the intersection and came upon a filming location for a Popeye’s commercial. A passenger stated that the tour was stopped by police and instructed to back up. When they attempted, the buggy flipped.

The nine other passengers sustained minor injuries. The mule pulling the buggy took off running when it became detached from the carriage. However, it was discovered a couple of blocks away, and appeared to be uninjured.
